Marsha is a 26-year resident of San Francisco, who grew up in Kansas City and formerly lived in Washington, D.C. She has been actively involved in the community, fundraising for pediatric programs at California Pacific Medical Center. She is a past president of CPMC's Little Jim Club and was chairman of the Club's 50th Anniversary Mardi Gras Ball in 2002, which raised over $160,000 for hospital programs. She continued her fundraising efforts in 2004 by being named the top individual fundraiser for the event and being crowned "Queen" of the Mardi Gras Ball.
Marsha adopted an "shelter" dog, Ryder, from the MILO Foundation in San Rafael. Ryder was left behind in a foreclosed house in Salinas, CA so it seemed appropriate that he be rescued by a Real Estate agent. After a rocky start characterized by great "separation anxiety", Ryder has settled into life in San Francisco, attending doggy day care, going for long walks and begging treats from the office receptionist.
In December 2007 Marsha joined a People-to-People excursion to Rwanda, visiting orphanages and villages to learn about the ongoing reconciliation efforts in this formerly war-torn African nation. While in Rwanda she also visited Volcanos National Park, trekking to see the nearly extinct Mountain Gorillas inhabiting the forests there.
Marsha received her bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas. She spent sixteen years in the public relations and advertising business and managed her own advertising firm for several years. Her clients have included Macy's, Mervyn's, K-Mart, Southwestern Bell, Sprint, Carter Hawley Hale, RR Donnelley and Petco. She brings her skills in negotiation, marketing and communications to the Real Estate profession, enthusiastically applying her promotional and creative talents to marketing properties.
Based upon her exceptional performance in 2009, Marsha was qualified for membership in the prestigious Alain Pinel Realtors President's Round Table which recognizes the most successful agents in the company. Marsha has been an award winning real estate agent throughout her career: In her first year as a residential real estate agent, she was named her firm's Rookie of the Year. She was consistently one of Ritchie-Hallanan's Top Producing agents from 1997 to the present.
Marsha is a member of San Francisco's Top Agent Network, which limits membership to the top 250 agents in the City through a verified process. Top Agent Network provides a forum for the City's most connected agents to market their properties prior to listing in the MLS and to exchange ideas with other top producers. Marsha also is a member of Leading Real Estates Power Producers, which recognizes one top performer from each office.
